Love and Sweet: NW Indiana Chapter
Meet the Team
NW Indiana Chapter: Director
Ava Adam
Ava is the leader of the Northwest Indiana Chapter for L&S Bakery. She is a sophomore at Munster High School and participates in several culture clubs, as well as Athletic Training and Student Government. After playing softball for 7 years, Ava has decided to focus on volunteering, as well as picking up new hobbies. She has newly become interested in reading, cooking, and most importantly - baking. She hopes to incorporate Latin and Caribbean inspirations into her food, as well as familiarize herself with more flavors. Through this experience, Ava hopes to learn more about baking, organizing, and donating to those in need. She hopes to have a great time creating new desserts!
NW Indiana Chapter: Secretary
Carla Brennan
Carly is currently a sophomore at Munster High School. In her free time, she enjoys babysitting, swimming, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She also has a strong love for animals and the environment, which has led her to become a vegan. For as long as Carly can remember, she has loved to help those in need of a little love, from going to soup kitchens with her family to making cards filled with encouragement for the sick. She has also always had a passion for cooking, and, especially, baking. She is so thrilled to have the opportunity to combine two of her biggest passions through this organization!
NW Indiana Chapter: Treasurer/Historian
Kiersten Sangueza
Kiersten is currently a sophomore at Munster High School. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, and playing the piano. In school she participates in a variety of clubs, including Student Government and Athletic Training. Helping others has always been an essential part of Kiersten’s life. Ever since she can remember, she has been donating clothes and toys to children in her home country, the Philippines, with the help of her family. Having such strong pride in her heritage, Kiersten hopes to help those in need while sharing her Filipino roots. She is excited to be a part of this organization and wishes to inspire others to make a difference through sharing their cultures!
